To start the process, the primary SoFi Checking and Savings member must send you, the potential second member, an email invitation. To view those instructions, please reference this helpful article:
Once the SoFi Checking and Savings Member has sent the email invitation:

You will select ‘Let’s make a joint account!' to accept the invitation to create a joint account.
NOTE: You also have the option to select ‘Create an individualaccount’ and decline the invitation to create a joint account. To open new, individual SoFi Checking and Savings accounts, please reference this article: How do I open SoFi Checking and Savings accounts? -
Then follow the application link in the email and provide the following information to open your SoFi Checking and Savings joint account:

Identification

Two-factor authentication
-
Citizenship
-
Legal/regulatory questions
NOTE: If you already have SoFi Checking and Savings, you must close the existing accounts before being invited to be a joint account holder with another member.

Once completed, the primary member will receive an email to approve your SoFi Checking and Savings joint account.

They must select ‘Approve joint account.’

Once complete, you will both receive emails confirming the SoFi Checking and Savings joint accounts are ready to go!
NOTE: The primary member can also confirm by selecting ‘More’ from the homepage and the secondary individual’s information will be present.
