Once I select an option on Lantern's marketplace, will applying affect my credit score?
Your credit score will not be affected by submitting the questionnaire on LanternCredit.com. Some of Lantern's providers use a soft credit inquiry when checking your rates. If you decide to move forward with an application on the provider's site, they may do a hard inquiry that could impact your credit score.
Am I able to add a co-borrower?
Currently, Lantern does not provide the ability to see options with a co-borrower, but certain partners we work with do offer this option. If you would like to include a co-borrower, we suggest selecting one of our providers that best meets your needs and applying directly through their website.
What steps should I take if an error occurs while submitting my loan application?
After selecting a desired option shown on Lantern's marketplace, you will be directed to the corresponding provider's website to complete your application. If you require further assistance in filling out the application or are experiencing an error, please contact that provider directly.
What is the status of my application?
Since Lantern is the marketplace to connect our providers with you, you will need to contact the specific provider(s) you’ve applied with to obtain information about your application.
