Endorse your check properly: Sign the back of your check and write For Mobile Deposit Only at SoFi Bank. Missing or incorrect endorsements may cause delays.
Name must match the account: The name on the check must match the account holder’s name. For joint accounts, the check must be made out to at least one account holder.
Deposit timing: Checks deposited before 4 PM ET on business days are typically available by the next business day.
Check age: Ensure the check is not older than 6 months.
Photo quality: Make sure the check is fully visible within the frame when capturing images.
How to Deposit a Check
From the banking homepage, select the Deposit icon.
Tap Deposit a Check.
You’ll be prompted to take a photo of the front of your check.
Confirm the check details, including the amount and the account you want to deposit into.
Capture a photo of the back of the check.
Review the deposit details on the next screen. Make sure all information is correct, or select Cancel to start over.
You’ll also see the estimated availability date for your deposit.
On the final screen, confirm that your deposit has been submitted, along with the amount and the account it’s being deposited into.
