If the person you’re paying has a SoFi Checking and Savings account, they’ll get the money instantly after you send it.
If they’re not a SoFi member, they’ll get an email or text with instructions to claim the money. Once they follow the steps to accept it, the funds will be sent to their external bank account and typically arrive in 2–3 business days. They have five days to claim the money before the payment is canceled and the funds are returned to your checking account.
