A cryptocurrency wallet is a digital application that allows you to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies. Instead of holding coins physically, a wallet stores your private keys to access your crypto on the blockchain.
Each wallet has a public key, a private key and an address.
Public key: is a long string of numbers and letters that is similar to an account number. It is a unique identifier that makes each wallet identifiable to others within the network.
Private key: is also a long string of numbers and letters, similar to a password and needs to be kept secret. Private keys prove ownership and are used to access and manage your crypto funds.
Wallet address: Is a shortened version of your public key that you can share with others to receive cryptocurrencies.
