You can send money to individuals with eligible local bank accounts in supported countries.
- Using a payment handle (UMA): Your recipient will need a payment handle (also known as a Universal Money Address or UMA) linked to their bank account. If they don’t have one yet, you can invite them to create one when you send the payment. It’s quick, free to set up, and powered by UMA. To learn more, visit https://www.uma.me/faq.
- Using their bank account identifier: In some countries, you can send money directly using a region-specific account identifier. In these cases, your recipient does not need to create a payment handle, but you may be asked to provide additional details like their date of birth and country of residence.
Right now, you can only send money to individuals outside the U.S. International business payments are not supported.
