To begin the process of closing your SoFi Money account:

Log in to your SoFi Money account.

Select the 'More' icon.

Select ‘Close Account'.

The system will review your SoFi Money account for the following factors:

Pending transactions

One or more active debit card disputes

NOTE: If any of these factors are present, you will not be able to close your SoFi Money account online. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can process your request.

If you are eligible to close your account online, review the information regarding account closure, click the disclaimer box, then click 'Close Account'.

If there are funds remaining on your SoFi Money account, you will be prompted to select an external bank account where the funds should be sent.
- If there is a remaining balance on the account, but no external bank account connected: Once transactions have been posted, checks have cleared, or any transfers have been completed, the account closure will be finalized, and a check will be mailed to your address on file. Please note, this may take up to 30 days.

- Complete a short, 3-question survey to provide some context regarding your departure, then click 'Submit'.
- The summary screen will display an overview of your SoFi Money account closure and how any remaining funds are being processed.
- If the account closure is successful, a confirmation screen will be presented. Click 'Continue' to return to the homepage, where the SoFi Money account will no longer be visible.
