On Thursday, April 10, 2025, we will launch a new SoFi Plus marketing promotion called They Shoot, You Score in connection with the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament taking place on April 15-18. The promo will run through April 30, 2025.
The first 5,000 new and existing members that sign up for SoFi Plus through the dedicated promo landing page (SoFi.com/Score) during the promo period have the chance to earn $10 in SoFi Rewards points for every bank shot made by the players in the Play-In Tournament games, up to $200 in total.
The promotion is part of an exciting NBA partnership we have as the Official Bank of the NBA, and title sponsors of the NBA Play-In Tournament.
Who is eligible?
The promotion is the first 5,000 new or existing members that sign up for SoFi Plus through the promo landing page SoFi.com/Score by April 30th, 2025 and meet the criteria outlined in the Promo Terms and Conditions.
- To be eligible, you must sign up through the promo landing page and not a different SoFi Plus page on our website.
- Additional eligibility requirements are listed in the T&Cs on the promo landing page.
- Employees of the NBA and SoFi Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible to participate.
When will this happen?
The promotion will begin on April 10, 2025 at 9 AM ET and will end at 11:59 PM ET on April 30, 2025.
How do I enter?
- Visit SoFi.com/Score
- Follow the links and instructions on the promo webpage to complete and submit the registration form to sign up for SoFi Plus by April 30th.
- You can join SoFi Plus in one (1) of two (2) ways:
- 1. Open a Checking or Savings account with SoFi bank and receive an Eligible Direct Deposit. You will have a grace period until 11:59 pm PT on May 30, 2025, for SoFi Bank to detect your Eligible Direct Deposit.
- 2. Subscribe to SoFi Plus by paying the SoFi Plus Subscription Fee of $10 every 30 days.
- Once you have successfully signed up for SoFi Plus, and meet the eligibility criteria outlined above, no further action is required.
How will people find out about this?
SoFi will announce the promotion leading up to and during the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, with TV Ads airing during the NBA games, on social media, YouTube, our website, and other channels like email marketing. People can also learn more about the promotion on our website at SoFi.com/Score.
How much can you win?
Up to $200 in SoFi Rewards Points. When a successful Bank Shot is scored during the tournament, SoFi will add $10 to the promotion bonus. There is a maximum payment of $200 in SoFi rewards points, no matter the number of Bank Shots scored during the tournament. The following chart lists the total amount of rewards available to be claimed by participating in the Promotion:

What is a Bank Shot in basketball?
For the purposes of this promotion, a Bank Shot is defined as:
- A player shoots the ball, bounces off the backboard, and into the net.
- Note layups and free throws do not count towards the total Bank Shots made.
The official scoring and total successful Bank Shots made during the tournament will be sourced by SoFi from the NBA (www.nba.com/stats).
How will we determine the first 5,000 people to sign up?
We collect the date and time when a member signs up for SoFi Plus via the promo website SoFi.com/Score. The first 5,000 people will be determined by the timestamp of successful sign up, regardless if they choose to sign up for SoFi Plus with direct deposit or subscribe via the monthly subscription fee.
SoFi will notify all entrants via email if they have qualified for the promotion bonus approximately 30 days after the promotion ends, on or around May 30th. This is due to the inherent delay in detecting an eligible direct deposit for members that choose to sign up for SoFi Plus via this method.
What if you are not one of the first 5,000 to sign up? (i.e. number 5,001+)
SoFi will notify members via email to let them know approximately 30 days after the promotion ends. If they were NOT one of the first 5,000 sign ups, we will provide details around other promotions they may be eligible for at the time, and ways to maximize the value of their new SoFi Plus membership.
How will the reward be paid out?

When will people receive their bonus?
SoFi will credit members who meet the eligibility criteria within 60 days of the end of the Promotion period.
Can you cancel your SoFi Plus membership at any time?
Yes, however to be eligible to receive the promotion bonus, you must maintain your active SoFi Plus status for at least 60 days following the promotion period.
